So sad to see the AV campaign going down the tubes. It is - or perhaps was - our best chance in 100 years to stop the big parties blackmailing electors.
In 2005, horrified by Blair's Iraq adventure, I desperatrely didn't want to vote Labour. But Labour told us: a vote for a smaller party is effectively a vote for the Conservatives. So we voted Labour - and then they said: see, everyone loves us.
If only we'd had AV and could have expressed what we think about Labour without helping the Conservatives.
